POSITION: ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
  • ETS is a drug-free work environment
  • ACI certified and Nuclear Density Gauge trained or ability to obtain certification within 3 months 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work successfully under the supervision of project managers
  • Communicate with clients and subcontractors in the field
  • Perform field/lab materials inspection and testing (soil, concrete, etc.)
  • Assist in subsurface exploration projects working with drill rigs and other related equipment

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Office and field environment – requires walking, moderate to heavy lifting, infrequent climbing, and exposure to temperature, heavy equipment and noise.
  • Procedural and process-oriented structure, due to strict regulatory requirements
  • Must be able to work some weekends and overtime as needed
  • Periodic travel and periodic on-call duties

POSITION: STAFF PROFESSIONAL 

PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor/Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Technologies or related field

or

  • Two-year degree in Construction Technologies or related field

Prospective hires must have excellent verbal, written, communication and organization skills. Familiarity with various commercial geotechnical and structural engineering practices, technology, software (AutoCAD), and laboratory testing is beneficial. Experience in course work or field work related to Soil Mechanics, Foundation, and Structural Engineering is also a plus.

GEOTECHNICAL/STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING SERVICES:

Subsurface soil investigation, foundation investigations, retaining wall design, failure investigations, and structural design and analysis including steel, and reinforced concrete structures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties include periodic site visits and reconnaissance, plan, construction monitoring, co-ordinate fieldwork, review field data and samples, assign and review laboratory tests, perform analyses, prepare geotechnical report, work in coordination with engineering technicians, staff engineers, project managers, clients and subcontractors.

CAREER ADVANCEMENT:

The position of staff professional can lead to the position of project manager or staff engineer upon professional registration and/or demonstration of capability to handle senior level responsibilities and technical expertise.
